Why you should never wear underwear to the beach...or pool...or boat party.

I've spent a lot of time at the beach, pool, and occasional boat party and there is always those one or two people who are wearing underwear as swimwear. Not knocking nobody because if that's your thing them do you, but I want to outline a few reasons

Why you should NEVER wear underwear as swimwear.

Wearing underwear to the beach or any function involving water is generally discouraged for several reasons. Firstly, underwear is not designed for exposure to water and sand. The fabric can become heavy and uncomfortable when wet, and sand particles may get trapped, causing irritation and chafing. Additionally, wet underwear can lead to hygiene issues as they may not dry quickly, creating a breeding ground for bacteria...which can cause smells and I'm sure nobody reading this wants to smell down there.

Secondly, wearing underwear under swimwear can affect the fit and appearance of your bathing suit. The extra layer can create visible lines or bulges, detracting from the sleek look of your beach attire. It can also restrict movement and diminish the functionality of your swimwear, particularly if it rides up or becomes twisted under your bathing suit, AKA wedgies.

Lastly, wearing underwear to the beach may simply be a matter of etiquette. Beachwear is designed to be lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, allowing you to enjoy the sun, sand, and water comfortably. Opting for appropriate swimwear without additional layers ensures you can fully embrace the beach experience without unnecessary discomfort or fashion faux pas.

That being said, from now on lets ALL commit to never wearing underwear to any event where water is the main attraction, this includes beaches, pools, hot tubs, and boat parties. Guys, don't be afraid to buy some swimwear. There are numerous styles of swimwear for everyone's individual tastes from trunks, to thongs and everything in between, so many that underwear shouldn't even be a thought when water is involved.
